PRODUCT DESIGN STUDIO PROJECT
Most guitar stands are purely functional and boring to look at. But many musicians treat their guitar as part of their home decor. I designed Sound Eclipse to do both hold the guitar and make it stand out.
It works as both a stand and a light. Made from plywood and LED strips, it frames the guitar with a soft glow, turning it into a sculptural feature in any room.
The Sound Eclipse guitar stand is designed to highlight and enhance the visual presence of a guitar. It illuminates the guitar from behind using embedded LED light strips, creating a dramatic backlit silhouette. This effect transforms the guitar into a kind of shadow sculpture, allowing its shape and curves to stand out in a new, atmospheric way.
Protective Felt Lining: Felt padding around the neck prevents scratches and ensures a soft, secure fit. Felt-covered arms gently hold the body of the guitar in place without causing damage.
Lighting System: COB LED light strips are embedded behind the guitar silhouette to create a soft glow and ambient lighting.
Integrated Pick Holder: A small compartment at the top includes a felt-lined space to hold guitar picks, keeping them accessible and organized.
